My name is Jinjie Liao. I am a freshman in environmental engineering at The City College of New York. I am interested to have a great learning experience from environmental engineers’ cooperation. Also, I want to get the opportunity to explore wildly about the environment. I found this internship through Linkedin’s career search. I also found that Langan has an excellent engineer group which is working on challenging projects to improve the environment, I want to get this opportunity to work with Langan because I can work effectively and independently, and be in the team, also I have strong communication skills.

 

My education at LaGuardia Community College (LAGCC) has given me a strong background in leadership skills and independent work skills. Tech Scholars Program @ LAGCC is training the professional skills such as coding in C++ and Excel, are the individual works to analyze the data and present the studies in a group. We also learned the collaboration of communication, presentation and leadership skills.

 

When I was working in the nail salon. The great communication skills can help the customers to have better service experience, a good mood, and a comfortable place to relax and chat. The relationship between customers and technicians is no longer about the bills, but also a friendship. Therefore, I need to listen carefully to their sentences. Sometimes they would like us to help them to decide which kind of nail polish are fit for them.
